We're getting closer and closer to meeting the NCIS: Hawaii team.
The newest series in the NCIS franchise is currently filming its first season on location in Hawaii. And we've now seen one of the agents suit up for the very first time, thanks to series lead Vanessa Lachey.
NCIS: Hawaii: Vanessa Lachey previews agent "Jane Tennant"
Over the weekend, Lachey shared a new photo of herself in NCIS gear while shooting near Aloha Stadium in Halawa, Hawaii. The 40-year-old actress will play Special Agent In Charge "Jane Tennant" on the series.
With the photo, Lachey wrote: "Aloha Stadium! I LOVE my job!" The star added hang loose and heart emojis along with the NCIS: Hawaii hashtag.
NCIS: Hawaii season 1 has September 2021 release date
The cast of NCIS: Hawaii began shooting early last month for their debut season that launches this fall on CBS. At that time, they broke the news by sharing visuals from a traditional Hawaiian blessing ceremony before the shoot.
The stars of the new NCIS series are all set, and Lachey is playing the franchise's first-ever female team leader, joining other series stars like Mark Harmon on NCIS, Chris O'Donnell on NCIS: L.A., and Scott Bakula on the now-cancelled NCIS: New Orleans.
We also saw a teaser trailer for NCIS: Hawaii in May, but this was the first time we've seen a star break out their NCIS gear. Watch for more updates before season 1 premieres on CBS Mondays in September!
