Reese Witherspoon Shares That A 'Legally Blonde' Reunion Is Happening: "We May Or May Not Have Done The Bend & Snap"

On Monday, Reese Witherspoon made the exciting announcement that she's getting the Legally Blonde cast back together! Witherspoon and many of the cast members will be reuniting for a virtual chat in support of a humanitarian organization. Find out where you can watch it!

Reese Witherspoon has revealed that she got the cast of Legally Blonde back together for a special fundraiser event! Reese Witherspoon shared the news via social media on Monday, and fans of the 2001 comedy are already freaking out!

Witherspoon's Legally Blonde reunion will stream online

Witherspoon took to Instagram to post a video announcement for the special event, which featured some clips of her and her Legally Blonde cast members reuniting! "Ohmigod you guys!! It’s a Legally Blonde Reunion. We laughed, we cried and we may or may not have done the bend & snap for old times sake!" she wrote.

The actress then told fans the reunion will be streamed via the YouTube channel for Witherspoon's production company! "For the first time in 20 years, join me and the #LegallyBlonde cast tomorrow at 3:15PM PST on the @hellosunshine YouTube channel!" she shared. "PS: Don’t you want to see if Elle & Warner finally make up?"

Legally Blonde reunion to benefit World Central Kitchen

Witherspoon's virtual get-together with the Legally Blonde cast is certainly exciting to fans, as many of the original cast members are returning! As Entertainment Tonight shares, Luke Wilson, Ali Larter, Selma Blair, Jennifer Coolidge, Holland Taylor, Jessica Cauffiel, and Alanna Ubach will all be making appearances.

The video announcement also mentioned that the reunion is taking place in support of World Central Kitchen, a government-run initiative that helps provide meals to those experiencing food insecurity during times of crisis. Earlier this month, the Father of the Bride cast reunited for a half-hour special— which Witherspoon happened to introduce— that also benefitted the organization!

There's also a third Legally Blonde movie in the works, which Mindy Kaling has been tapped to write the screenplay for! Earlier this month, Kaling mentioned the project when she appeared on Good Morning America, saying that the script is "really funny to write." We're definitely looking forward to seeing the original Legally Blonde cast get back together, as well as what the future holds for the franchise!
