Reese Witherspoon will reprise her role as the iconic "Elle Woods" and Kaling shares that she can't wait to share her work with her pal.

As the world sits on the edge of their seats awaiting the arrival of the first sneak peek of Legally Blonde 3, Mindy Kaling is hard at work writing the script for the iconic movie.
Reprising her role of "Elle Woods," the bubbly Barbie determined to make her name in the legal world, Reese Witherspoon will wear that high pony once more as she bends and snaps her way onto the big screen once again!
Kaling and Witherspoon have worked on a few projects together, and Kaling shares she has "always been that friend that quoted the movie back to her."
Kaling revealed, "It’s been over 20 years since she did the first movie and she asked me, 'You know, I’d really love to revisit this character.' I was nervous because the movie is so iconic but then I thought it would be really fun to see that character in her 40s."
"What is Elle Woods dealing with as a 41-year-old woman? I think it’s going to be a great movie for Reese and people are gonna love to see her in this part," Kaling added.
