Great Scott! "Doc Brown" is headed for the NCIS franchise for a guest appearance soon. TVLine reports that Christopher Lloyd (81), star of the Back to the Future movies and three-time Emmy winner, will be a guest star on an upcoming springtime episode in season 17 of NCIS.

NCIS Season 17: Christopher Lloyd plays "Joe Smith"
According to TVLine, Lloyd will play 95-year-old Navy veteran "Joe Smith" who served on the USS Arizona when it was attacked in 1941 at Pearl Harbor. "Smith" is determined to have his ashes laid to rest with his fellow sailors once he passes away.
The report describes the character as "sharp, spry, and an unapologetic curmudgeon," and he will apparently become the focus of an investigation led by "Gibbs" (Mark Harmon).
Christopher Lloyd has won two Emmy Awards for his work as "Rev. Jim Ignatowski" in Taxi and another one for his role in Disney's Road to Avonlea.
