Sad news for all NCIS: New Orleans fans! Big surprises usually happen either in series premieres or finales, despite the fact that the sixth season of the show is still weeks away from its midseason finale, it has already showed a very shocking scene which leads to the exit of one of the original cast members who appeared in the series for a total of six seasons.
Lucas Black aka "Christopher Lasalle" has left NCIS: New Orleans
Spoiler alert! In Matthew 5:9, the most recent episode of the show, Special Agent "Christopher Lasalle" (Lucas Black) was killed after being fatally shot while trying to avenge his brother "Cade's" (Clayne Crawford) murder, by tracking the drug ring he suspected was responsible.
Lucas Black, who portrayed "Christopher Lasalle" since the very first season in 2014, shared an emotional farewell message on Twitter after the episode aired last night. "Thank you all! Really appreciate the love and support from you! My time on NCIS New Orleans was an amazing experience!," is how the 36-year-old actor captioned the clip.
The NCIS: New Orleans star will spend more time with his family
Lucas Black, also known for his work on CSI: Miami and Furious 7, said he was honoured to play "Lasalle." It seems that now he will shift his priorities to his family - since 2010 he has been married to lawyer Maggie O'Brien with whom he has three children.
"We had an amazing run with Lucas Black and he has been such an important part of our NCIS: New Orleans team. We are sad to see him go, but happy he will have more time to spend with his family," said NCIS: New Orleans showrunners Christopher Silber and Jan Nash.
