Matthew McConaughey has already got his next project lined up! Fans of McConaughey's performance as "Rustin Cohle" in True Detective will be thrilled to hear it's been announced he's reteaming with that show's creator, Nick Pizzolatto, for an exciting new FX drama series called Redeemer!
While there isn't a ton of information out about the project yet, or even any other names attached to be involved beyond McConaughey and Pizzolatto, here's what we know about Redeemer so far...

Matthew McConaughey's role in Redeemer
According to the show's official synopsis, McConaughey is set to play "a former minister turned dissolute security guard, whose search for a missing woman in Texas leads him through a corruption and criminal conspiracy, as his past and present impact and entwine around a mystery of escalating violence and deceit".

McConaughey and Pizzolatto: production partners
Redeemer draws its inspiration from Patrick Coleman's debut novel, The Churchgoer, and marks the beginning of production deals with FX Productions for both Pizzolatto and McConaughey. Of the pair's newly formed small-screen collaborative venture, Pizzolatto said "I’m very excited at the opportunity to work with Matthew again, and really grateful and thrilled to have the chance to create new shows for Fox 21 and FX".
