John Krasinski has given fans of A Quiet Place an exciting update about the film's long-awaited sequel! On Thursday, Krasinski took to social media to reveal that A Quiet Place Part II is coming out this year, officially announcing when people will be able to watch it!
Krasinski gives A Quiet Place Part II end of May release
Krasinski had initially planned to release A Quiet Place Part II last spring, but ended up postponing it because of the coronavirus pandemic. "I'm gonna wait to release the film til we CAN see it all together," he said in a statement about his decision to delay the highly anticipated follow-up to his hit 2018 thriller last March.
Now though, the actor has decided it's time to share the sequel with the world. "They always say good things come to those who wait," he wrote on social media. "Well... I think we’ve waited long enough." The star and director of A Quiet Place Part II then announced that the film will be released on Memorial Day, which falls on May 31 this year!
His announcement also included a new teaser image for the film, which shows an ominous-looking lightbulb in front of a black background. Along with Krasinski, A Quiet Place Part II also sees stars Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe reprise their roles. There are no details yet on whether it will be headed directly to theatres, or be available on any streaming platforms.
