"Bender" actor John DiMaggio joins the new Futurama
Last month, fans were thrilled by news of the Futurama revival, but voice actor John DiMaggio was holding out. He didn't like how negotiations were going and said it was "about self-respect."
But, in a new statement to Deadline, DiMaggio announced: "I'M BACK, BABY!" He said he is "so damn grateful for the love and support of fans and colleagues alike during this whole time," and that he "cannot wait to get back to work with my Futurama family."

Futurama fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Initially, there were threats "Bender" could be recast, though it sounded like both sides wanted DiMaggio back.
John DiMaggio called the spat "Bendergate" and kept fans up to date throughout. But he now says: "#Bendergate is officially over."
After 10 years off the air, Futurama — with its original cast — will return with 20 new episodes in 2023.
