On Friday April 3rd after its 10-season run, the final half of the two-part series finale of Hawaii Five-0 is set to air. ET Canada spoke with Ian Anthony Dale, who stars as "Kono Kalakaua" on the show, about his feelings as we approach the end of the series.

Hawaii Five-0: Ian Anthony Dale Reflects On Show Ending
Dale admits that saying goodbye to the show has been tough for everyone: "The last three days of filming were very heavy, for both the cast and the crew. Obviously, we had all become so close to each other… it was all very surreal. We would enjoy each other’s company as much as possible, try to stay in the moment and not become overwhelmed," he said.
Ian Anthony Dale Takes His Five-0 Task Force Badge
Ian Anthony Dale got to take a couple mementos from the set with him to remember his years on the series. "I got to keep my Five-0 task force badge. And I also got to keep the chair-back from the episode I directed earlier this season," he revealed.

Dale got to try his hand at directing on this season of the show. He described directing as "one of the most challenging and gratifying experiences of my career."
Ian Anthony Dale and his wife, Nicole Garippo, were set to fly back to their home in Los Angeles once filming of Hawaii Five-0 wrapped up. However, with the COVID-19 pandemic and the current travel restrictions, they decided to stay put in Hawaii with their two children, a two and a half year old son and an eight week old daughter.
The series finale of Hawaii Five-0 airs Friday, April 3 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Global.
