'Frozen 2' Becomes Highest-Grossing Animated Film Of All Time

The original Frozen film, which was released in 2013, was already a major hit in the box office 4 years ago, having grossed $1.281 billion. This incredible sum is now surpassed by its sequel, Frozen 2, as being the highest-grossing animated film of all time.

Frozen 2 has become an international sensation - the film is now officially the highest-grossing animated film of all time, reaching $1.325 billion over this past weekend. It has surpassed it's predecessor, Frozen ($1.28 billion) and the successful Incredibles 2 ($1.243 billion).

Disney is a powerhouse when it comes to producing top animated films. So far, they hold the title for highest-grossing animated films, including the top 3 mentioned above. Additionally, The Lion King, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and Avengers: Endgame have been the top three highest-grossing movies of 2019, and all Disney films no less. Needless to say, Disney had quite the 2019!
