'Die Hard' Cast: Where Are They Now?

The action movie Die Hard came out in 1988 and really(!) put Bruce Willis on the map as an actor in features. nThe film promises pure excitement and action, and has become a real home video classic. Four sequels were produced and all of them, of course, featured the one and only "John McClane".

Alan Rickman (†69) played great roles in films such as 'Perfume: The Story of a Murderer' and 'Love Actually'. Naturally, we have to mention his role as "Severus Snape" in all of the eight films of the 'Harry Potter' franchise...The Englishman died in 2016 after suffering from pancreatic cancer.

Reginald VelJohnson played the role of the police Sergeant "Al Powell" and Paul Gleason was Deputy Chief of Police "Dwayne T. Robinson".

After Die Hard, Reginald VelJohnson also appeared in the sequel Die Hard 2 and had his most popular role to date in the amazing sitcom Family Matters from 1989 until 1998 as the patriarch "Carl Winslow". He also starred in the CW show Hart of Dixie as "Dash DeWitt" from 2011 until 2015 and had guest roles on shows like Brooklyn Nine Nine, Mike & Molly and Mom.

The american actor Paul Gleason had a great acting career that lasted for 40 years. His most famous roles - aside from his appearance in Die Hard - came in shows like All My Children as well as in movies such as The Breakfast Club and Trading Places. Unfortunately, Gleason passed away after suffering from lung cancer in 2006, leaving behind his wife and two children.

James Shigeata played "Joseph Takagi". He also had parts in films like Drive or Brother. In addition, lent his voice to "General Li" in the animated Disney classic Mulan. Shigeata died in July 2014 at the age of 86 years
