There is no slowing down for Ian McShane. He's been acting since the 1960s but keeps on delivering great performances year after year.
The 79-year-old English actor has kept busy in film and TV, and he just signed on for an unexpected new show. The John Wick star will head to Australia for a Paramount+ drama series called Last King of the Cross.
Big news: Ian McShane has another new TV show coming
The streamer Paramount+ is expanding to Australia, and we previously looked at its upcoming series NCIS: Sydney. Now there's more to look forward to with Ian McShane's new show.
It sounds like a good one. Last King of the Cross is based on the autobiography of John Ibrahim, a nightclub owner who rose to power with alleged connections to crime and drugs in Kings Cross, Sydney.
According to Deadline, Ian McShane will play the villain "Ezra" in the series. He rules the Kings Cross area but, aging and without an heir, decides to take "Ibrahim" under his wing. Australian star Lincoln Younes plays the lead in the series.

So it sounds like Ian McShane will be a shady boss you don't want to mess with in Last King of the Cross. It begins shooting this May, per Deadline, and will eventually land on the streamer Paramount+.
In recent years, Ian McShane has become known for roles in John Wick, American Gods, and Law & Order: SVU. His other classic titles include Lovejoy, Deadwood, and Sexy Beast, to name just a few.
