Talks are underway for an unscripted Friends reunion special on the upcoming streaming platform HBO Max. It seems that the cast of the legendary show may finally get together again after years of hinting at potential reunions!
Only a couple of weeks ago, Jennifer Aniston joined Instagram and posted a selfie with her Friends co-stars Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, and David Schwimmer, setting a new Guinness World Record for the fastest time to reach one million followers, bringing up the idea of seeing them together on screen again!
A Friends reunion special would pair with HBO Max's launch
During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Aniston also talked about the new project. Although she confirmed there are no plans of releasing a Friends reboot, she suggested that some sort of reunion is in the works. Are "Rachel," "Phoebe," "Monica," "Ross," "Chandler," and "Joey" coming back together?
The Friends reunion special would pair with the launch of HBO Max, the show's new streaming home after leaving Netflix in 2020. Friends producers and stars are celebrating the show's 25th anniversary this year with special screenings, and pop-ups of Central Perk, the iconic coffee shop the characters usually visit.
