- Prince William and Duchess Kate want to move
- William and Kate are considering royal cottage
- The couple split time between two properties
Prince William and Duchess Kate might be living closer to Queen Elizabeth II in the near future! As the Daily Mail shares, an inside source has revealed that the couple are hoping to move into Adelaide Cottage, a decision which they see as being in the best interest of their family.
William and Kate see the cottage as their "only option"
William and Kate have three children together— Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. While the family currently split their time between their country home of Anmer Hall and their residence at Kensington Palace, the source explains that William and Kate are looking for a home that allows them to settle down. This is exactly why Adelaide Cottage would be a great fit for the Cambridges!
The royal source shared that William and Kate had also looked at Frogmore House as well as several other properties. However, the upkeep required to make them livable wouldn't be financially viable! "Finding a way to make Adelaide Cottage work seems to be the best and only option," the insider explained to The Sun. Since the property was recently renovated, it would suit the family's needs well— and allow them to be closer to the queen!
Also interesting:
If the Cambridges were to move to Adelaide Cottage, which the queen owns, they would be just 10 minutes from her. That's because the monarch herself recently made a significant move, now calling Windsor Castle her permanent residence instead of her years-long residence of Buckingham Palace. Hopefully William and Kate are able to secure their ideal family home!
