Difficult days lie behind the royal family. September 19th saw the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II (†96) in London, whereupon a public mourning period of King Charles III (73) was proclaimed. Now Prince William (40) and Duchess Kate (40) surprised with a public appearance on Thursday.
Prince William and Duchess Kate thank volunteers
On September 22, the royal couple visited Windsor Guildhall to thank the volunteers and staff involved in the Queen's funeral. In addition to assisting with operations at St George's Chapel, the volunteers tended to the crowds around Windsor.
The royal couple shines when they appear in public
During this visit, the Prince and his wife seemed relaxed, the two laughed in conversation with the helpers. The couple continued to wear mourning attire, with Duchess Kate wowing in a chic black coat and Prince William dazzling in a simple blue suit.
The whole British family is certainly happy about the sympathy and great support from society during this period of mourning.
