- Charles was crowned King
- The same day was the birthday of his grandson Archie
- This is how the King thought of the little one
May 6th was a big day for the royals - both in England and in the USA. In London, King Charles III (74) was crowned. At the same time, his grandson Prince Archie Harrison (4) celebrated his fourth birthday in California.
Prince Harry (38) even managed to be at both events, taking the plane home directly after the coronation service. King Charles is said to have been unhappy about this, as a source revealed to 'Daily Mail'. He had even invited his son to the family dinner at the palace after the coronation.
Sweet toast from King Charles to Prince Archie
There was a sweet gesture for grandson Archie, as the insider further reveals. Before the meal, the king gave a toast - and honoured his three grandchildren George (9), Charlotte (8) and Louis (5),as well as a special shout out to the young son of Prince Harry.
Also interesting:
So he raised his glass to "those who could not be there" and wished Archie a happy birthday, "wherever he is".
The sweet gesture may well be seen as a peace offering from Charles to his son and his family; after all, Harry and wife Meghan (41) are also among "to those who could not be there".
Whether there were also direct birthday greetings from Grandpa Charles to Archie is not known. The little one certainly had a nice day of honour. According to the newspaper, Meghan hosted a small party for him.
