Royal fans are pretty divided on the "Queen Camilla" news. But it's a happy day for Prince Charles.
Today, Feb. 6, actually marks Queen Elizabeth's 70th year on the British throne. She also chose the occasion to confirm her daughter-in-law Camilla will become Queen Consort when Prince Charles is king.
Prince Charles reacts to his future Queen Camilla
So how does Prince Charles feel about it all? He responded with gratitude to the Queen and pride for his "darling wife" Camilla. In a statement, Charles wrote:
"We are deeply conscious of the honour represented by my mother's wish. As we have sought together to serve and support Her Majesty and the people of our communities, my darling wife has been my own steadfast support throughout."
His words respond to the Queen's message, in which she called it her "sincere wish" that Camilla will be Queen Consort to Prince Charles.

Prince Charles's reaction is part of a longer tribute to the Queen and her seven decades as ruler. It further reads:
"On this historic day, my wife and I join you all in congratulating Her Majesty The Queen on the remarkable achievement of serving this nation, the Realms and Commonwealth for seventy years."
