Following the coronation of King Charles III (74) and Queen Camilla (75) in London on May 6, the British monarch was crowned again in a smaller ceremony on July 5 as part of Holyrood Week in Scotland. In the run-up to the service, where Charles was presented with the Scottish crown jewels, there were protests from opponents of the monarchy.
King Charles III better get used to this
There has been a growing wave of anti-monarchy sentiments all across Britain ever since Charles' ascension to the throne. As reported by the British broadcaster BBC, demonstrators had positioned themselves along the Royal Mile, among other things.
