Prince William makes a point through hair loss quip
While talking about the recent Earthshot winners, Prince William was talking about the origins of his contest and how long it had been a passion of his.
"I don't know if you guys have heard about the Earthshot Prize, but it's an initiative I started about two years ago now although it's been about four years in the making... I had hair when it started,” the Prince joked.
Prince William has been a long-time advocate for climate action, and has spoken about the importance of taking measures to help the environment on Earth rather than looking toward space for an escape.
On the 'Newscast' podcast in October 2021, after actor William Shatner became the oldest person to leave Earth in Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin ship, the Prince said "We need some of the world's greatest brains and minds fixed on trying to repair this planet, not trying to find the next place to go and live on".
