A royal commentator has claimed that "The Queen has struck up an 'unusually close' friendship with Meghan Markle" according to the Daily Mail. She has done so by extending an invitation to Meghan on a number of royal engagements since she has become a part of Prince Harry's life. It's being said that the effort made by the Queen was not as great for Duchess Catherine as her entrance into the Royal Family was a bit more gradual.
The Queen invited Meghan to Scotland for her birthday
The Queen is conscious of her efforts as so that Duchess Meghan doesn't feel like an outsider, much like Prince Harry's late mother, Princess Diana, did when she joined the Royal Family. This makes us rather happy that the Queen is aware of how important Meghan is to Harry. According to the Daily Mail, the royal monarch even invited Meghan, Harry and Archie to Balmoral Castle in Scotland over the weekend to celebrate the Duchess' 38th birthday.
This trip would have been Meghan and Archie's first to Balmoral Castle which is said to be the Queen's favourite home and where she spends her summer months. This invite in particular is a wonderful honour from the Queen herself.
