Today is Mother's Day in the UK and it was a special one for Princess Eugenie. It's her first Mother's Day as a mom, and she shared a touching message about her experience of the holiday and how much she learned from her own mother, Sarah Ferguson.
Princess Eugenie shares new baby picture of son August
On Instagram, Eugenie reflected on a Mother's Day spent with her baby boy. "I'm so excited to be August's mum and as you can see I'm enjoying my first Mother's Day," she wrote with a new photo of 1-month-old August, seen bundled up in a hat, whale-patterned pants, and bunny slippers.
Eugenie's tribute continued: "I'm also celebrating my beautiful Mumma with this picture of us from March 1990. You've taught me so much." The second picture shows Sarah Ferguson cradling a newborn Eugenie days after her birth 30 years ago.
"Happy Mother's Day to all," she concluded the post. Eugenie's brother-in-law, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, also responded to the post, commenting with three heart emojis.
Mother's Day 2021: Princess Eugenie's first as a mom
Princess Eugenie and her husband of two years, Jack Brooksbank, welcomed their baby boy back on Feb. 9. A little less than two weeks later, they introduced the world to August Philip Hawke Brooksbank.
The name was chosen in honour of Queen Victoria's husband, Prince Albert, whose full name contained the name Augustus. Sarah Ferguson also shared a Mother's Day 2021 tribute to her late mother, writing that she "would be so proud" of her great-grandson August.
