Princess Diana and Prince Charles Made THESE Wedding Vow Mistakes

The world was watching the wedding of the future King of England back on July 29th, 1981. The commonwealth was infatuated with who they dubbed "The People's Princess" and was extremely excited to have her as an addition to the royal family. 

But did you know both Prince Charles and Princess Diana made slip-ups during the ceremony?

Prince Charles and Princess Diana's wedding was televised and watched by millions all over the world. Unfortunately, poor Diana who was thrust into the limelight almost overnight was a bit nervous.

During their wedding vows as she was reading her betrothed's dame she called him "Philip Charles Arthur George" instead of his actual name Charles Philip Arthur George. Luckily, she powered on and wore her beautiful smile throughout the rest of the ceremony.

Charles also fumbled his vows, although in a slightly more telling way...

During his own reading of the vows, he said "thy goods" instead of "my worldly goods" as he was supposed to! A few publications caught the mistakes but let it slide as the commonwealth was so happy for the beautiful union.

Little did everyone know that their marriage was doomed from the start as Charles was already having an affair with the also married Camilla Parker-Bowles...

Charles also gave a telling misstep during their engagement announcement. While being interviewed, the reporter asked "Are you in love" to which Diana said "Yes, of course, we are!" while Charles simply retorted "Whatever in love means..."

Diana clearly displayed her discomfort with his response but was probably not yet aware that he was in love with another married woman.

By 1986 the pair were already living apart while Charles continued his illicit affair with Camilla, who he would eventually marry. Finally, in 1992, the pair announced their separation and Diana famously wore her jaw-dropping "revenge dress" when Charles admitted to committing adultery to the public.
