Despite his recent move to the quiet Santa Barbara neighborhood of California, Prince Harry misses his native country and is dying to return to England. This was confessed during a Zoom call with volunteers from the Rugby Football League this weekend. During the meeting, Harry declared that he had plans to return to the home of the royal family and would have already done so had it not been for the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prince Harry wants to return to England
As part of the celebration of the 125th anniversary of the creation of the Rugby Football League, Prince Harry participated in a quiz with volunteers and workers of the association via Zoom.
During the call, the prince was excited about the revival of plans to host the Rugby World Cup next year and said he has plans to attend the event, to be held in the UK in October.
"I definitely plan on coming back. I would have been back already had it not been for COVID," said the Duke of Sussex according to US Weekly.
Will Prince Harry return to England in 2021?
Although many believed that his separation from the British Crown and his recent move to a mansion in one of California's most exclusive neighborhoods would alienate Prince Harry from the United Kingdom, a series of activities scheduled for next year could bring the prince back to his native country.
On his podcast, The HeirPod, the journalist and controversial book author Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family, Omid Scobie, stated that Harry and Meghan could spend an "extended period of time in the UK next year".
"In March, we have the Invictus Games, which has been rescheduled, in the Hague. In June, we have Trooping the Colour, which I imagine Prince Harry and Meghan would like to still be at, and July 1, we have the unveiling of the [Princess Diana] statue," commented the royal specialist. We will have to wait and see when Prince Harry, Meghan, and Archie can make a visit back to the UK!
