The Duke of Sussex wore a joyful smile as he explored the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix pit lane and team garages in Austin, Texas on Sunday.
Prince Harry was an esteemed guest of Mercedes F1 at the Circuit of the Americas, engaging in conversations with British driver George Russell and Mercedes Team Principal Toto Wolff just before the race commenced.
More about Prince Harry:
In the company of his friend and BetterUp CEO, Alexi Robichaux, the Duke of Sussex enjoyed the race day. Since March 2021, Prince Harry has held the role of Chief Impact Officer for the coaching platform.
His visit extended to the Red Bull team garage, where he had a meaningful exchange with Team Principal Christian Horner, who is the husband of Spice Girl Geri Halliwell-Horner.
F1 expressed their welcome to the Duke of Sussex on their Instagram page with a carousel of images (see image above).
Prince Harry is well-known for his affinity for F1. In March 2020, he collaborated with Lewis Hamilton, aged 38, to inaugurate the Silverstone Experience museum in the U.K., a tribute to the history, present, and future of British motor racing.
This visit was part of Harry's final round of royal duties before he and his wife, Meghan Markle, aged 42, stepped away from their senior roles in the royal family and relocated to her home state of California.
Harry's presence at the race on Sunday followed his and Meghan's recent return to the U.S. after a discreet Caribbean retreat.
