• Prince Harry visited the North Pole
  • His skin was frozen and red, including his private parts
  • He had to attend his brother's wedding with that pain

Prior to Prince William's wedding in 2011, Prince Harry had taken a trip to the North Pole in the company of veterans who were training in the region. The prince arrived at the site very optimistic, thinking "how bad can this be," as he mentions in his interview with Stephen Colbert, but he was not prepared for the freezing temperatures of -35°C.

Prince Harry's "Todger"

The prince later discovered that several parts of his body had frozen, causing redness and pain, including an intimate area. The prince wrote in his book: "Upon arriving home I’d been horrified to discover that my nether regions were frostnipped as well, and while the ears and cheeks were already healing, the todger wasn’t."

In discussing the subject, Colbert asked him "At what point did you realize there was a crisis at the South Pole?", whereupon Harry explained: "When you’re walking, you’re hot, and you’re trying not to sweat because the sweat freezes. And once it’s numb, you don’t know."

His skin was damaged while in pain all the time, which horrified him and the worst thing is that he had to deal with the problem for a while, but on his trip to the North Pole, he learned his lesson and took more protection.
