The Duke of Sussex received the sad news of his Godmother, Lady Vestey. The beloved member of the Queen's inner circle has passed away.
Prince Harry's Godmother Passed Away
The Daily Telegraph has just reported that Lady Celia Vestey has passed away:
"Celia Elizabeth SRN BA. Died suddenly, but peacefully, on Saturday 28th November, aged 71 years. Adored wife of Sam. Much loved mother of William, Arthur and Mary and loving Granny of Ella, Frankie, Sam and Cosima. Private family funeral. Memorial service later. Family flowers only please, but donations gratefully received in Celia's memory to Ebony Horse Club."
Lady Vestey and her husband Lord Vestey have been a close member of Queen Elizabeth's inner circle according to Hello!. Lord Vestey was even the Royal Master of the Horse and their eldest son served as Page of Honor for Her Majesty for years.
Lady Celia was one of Prince Harry's delicately chosen six Godparents. Prince Charles and Princess Diana asked Prince Andrew, Princess Margaret's daughter Lady Sarah, Carolyn Bartholomew, Lady Diana's former flatmate, artist Bryan Organ, Gerald Ward, and Lady Vestey.
All six were in attendance at Prince Harry's christening at St. George's Chapel, the very same Chapel he would marry the love of his life, Meghan Markle.
Rest in peace, Lady Celia Vestey.
