Prince Harry (39, Duke of Sussex) is proving that even royals have a sense of humor! The philanthropist and former military man made his comedy debut at the 17th Annual Stand Up for Heroes Benefit on Monday, leaving the audience both entertained and moved.
A Royal Comedian is Born
In a tongue-in-cheek speech, Harry joked about his public scrutiny, saying, “As someone who never gets scrutinized, I haven't even had to prepare much." The royal's self-deprecating humor had the crowd in stitches, proving that the Duke can indeed poke fun at himself!
But it wasn't all jokes and laughter. Harry, who served in the military for 10 years and undertook two tours of Afghanistan, took a serious turn to honor the military community. He described it as "one that shares incredible highs and painful lows,” and emphasized its unique importance to society.
