- Prince Harry has new book coming out soon
- It's a hotly-anticipated memoir he has titled Spare
- Here's what to know about the bombshell book
When Prince Harry talks about the Royal Family, the world listens. And he'll be doing it once again in a brand-new memoir.
Prince Harry, who quit royal duties in 2021 and criticized his family in notable interviews, wrote a memoir that comes out on Jan. 10, 2023. Here are the important details to know ahead of the bombshell book's release.
Prince Harry's memoir: Title, release date, and more to know
Prince Harry's book is titled Spare. It's a provocative reference to the notion of "heir and a spare," and it tells Harry's life story as the second child of the heir to the British throne.
Harry and his wife Duchess Meghan previously accused unnamed royals of racism and neglecting their mental health concerns.
And there has been speculation on if Harry's book will name names regarding his and Meghan's damaging allegations.
Will Prince Harry's new book scandalize the Royal Family?
Some experts believe that King Charles, Harry's father, and Queen Camilla, his step-mother, could take the brunt of the book's criticisms.
And then there is Queen Elizabeth II. Prince Harry had been writing his memoir since early 2021, and his beloved grandmother eventually passed away in September 2022.
Also interesting:
There have been conflicting reports on whether or not Harry edited sections of the book – possibly deemed insensitive – after the Queen's death.
But Finding Freedom author Omid Scobie insists there were no "late-minute rewrites," and that Harry does not trash his family in the book.
Still, Spare should cause a frenzy. Harry says he will be "accurate and wholly truthful" in telling his life story, and the book promises to be "raw" and full of "revelations."
With Charles and Camilla now on the throne, we could be in for a whole new royal scandal with Prince Harry. The book drops on Jan. 10, 2023.
