Two years ago, on May 19 2018, Prince Harry married actress Meghan Markle in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, making her the Duchess of Sussex. While millions of people were watching their vows on TV screens, those in attendance were a mixed bag of royals, actors, sports figures, entertainers as well as - of course - close friends and family.

The guest list included celebrities like Elton John, George Clooney and Oprah Winfrey, and they all had to follow a strict set of rules! Let's take a look back at the dos and don'ts of the royal couple's wedding.
Harry & Meghan's Strict Wedding Rules
Leading up to their big day, Harry and Meghan sent a seven-page instruction book to all guests in order to inform them what they needed to do and what items would be banned at the event. Upon arriving at the evening reception, guests had to "surrender mobile telephones and any devices used for image capture".
Nobody was allowed to take presents either into St George's Chapel or into the Windsor Castle reception, while bulky bags were also banned. A dress coat was also part of the invitation: Men were asked to either wear dress uniform, a morning coat or lounge suit. Women had to pick a day dress and a hat.
There was also a long list of things that the guests were banned from bringing, which included medals and - yes, this is true, swords! Meghan and Harry asked their guests not to buy them any gifts for their wedding, but instead wanted everybody to donate to one of their seven chosen charities - a nice move!
