- Prince Harry was back in Great Britain
- He seized a touching opportunity
- How he honored Lady Diana
Prince Harry's (39) latest trip to the UK gave him the opportunity to pay tribute to his late mother Princess Diana. The Duke of Sussex returned to his homeland last week to attend the funeral of his uncle Robert Fellowes, who was married to Diana's older sister Jane.
During his stay, Harry stayed with his uncle Charles Spencer at Althorp House, the stately home where Princess Diana grew up.
Prince Harry remembers Lady Diana
A close friend and neighbor of Diana's brother Charles told 'The Daily Beast' that Harry was spotted at the estate when he visited his mother's grave.
This visit took place just a few days before the anniversary of Diana's death. Lady Di's grave can only be reached by boat, which makes the visit a special and intimate experience.
The family friend told 'The Daily Beast': "Harry visited the grave when he was in Althorp. It’s a very special place for all the family but especially Harry. It was a significant part of his motivation for staying there."
Harry's brother William also attended the funeral. According to insiders, however, the brothers did not say a word to each other. It was their first meeting since the coronation of their father Charles the year before.
