Prince Harry attended the 15th annual BGC Charity Day at Canary Wharf, in London, England, in order to help raise thousands for charity. The Duke of Sussex took to the phones to close some top-dollar deals in the financial district of London.
Prince Harry (34) closed a government bond worth 1 billion pounds as he was guest of honor at the annual BGC Charity Day held by BGC Partners, a fundraise which has been held on the anniversary of 9/11 for the past 15 years, honouring those who passed away during the World Trade Center attack in New York City, back in 2001.
The event honours the employees who lost their lives during the 9/11 attacks
The annual event commemorates the 61 EuroBrokers and the 658 Cantor Fitzgerald employees who lost their lives in the attacks on the Twin Towers. Part of the money raised during the event also went to Prince Harry's Invictus Games Foundation, an adaptive sports contests for veterans.
“We merely created a platform in order for them to shine and it’s genuinely been one of the greatest honors of my life to get to know all you guys and to see you through this process,” the Duke of Sussex said in his inspiring speech about the charity’s anniversary.
