The Times just released an excerpt from the book Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family which had some wonderfully fun details on how the two started their destined romance.
Prince Harry's Secret Instagram Account
Right after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's first date, beautiful Meghan began following the social media account @SpikeyMau5 on Instagram. The accounts profile photo was that of a mouse-shaped helmet and turned out to be her new man's secret social media account! "SpikeyMau5" was a combination of his nickname and Deadmau5, one of his favorite DJ's.
Prince Harry had reportedly used the name "Spike Wells" for his secret Facebook account before so the fake Instagram was no big shock.
The two had clicked immediately on their blind date together at Soho House's Dean Street Townhouse having dinner and a drink. They left their first date without a kiss but returned to the same venue the very next night for a second date. They brilliantly entered via a staff entrance and were waited on by only one staff member to be safe. Apparently "almost immediately they were obsessed with each other."
The next day they went on a third date at a cottage and Harry swept Meghan off her feet a few weeks later for a romantic camping trip to Botswana. Meghan was "completely spellbound" and Harry was "in a trance."
The two were very smart about seeing each other secretly with quiet flights between Toronto and London and then three months later Prince Harry was the first to say "I love you"! Meghan of course returned the sentiment.
Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Family will be delving deeper into their romance and explain the process of them deciding to step down as senior Royal members and will be released on August 11th.
