Prince Harry and his lovely wife Meghan Markle are left feeling unsafe in their own L.A home after strange drone activity started taking place. Drones have been flying around the couple's home, sometimes as low as 20 feet overhead.

A family left fearful

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are left feeling overwhelmed and fearful after strange and reoccurring drone activity has been taking place around their L.A. home.

A source confirmed to the Daily Beast that the couple have dealt with drones flying over their property, sometimes as low as 20 feet, and numerous occurrences of press intrusions.

A friend close to couple said that the drone activity has taken place May 9, 19, 20, 21, and 25.

The couple have stepped down from their royal titles, and are now working with the LAPD to hire their own security measures.

“They are not asking for any special treatment, and have not received any,” the source continued.

The drones are said to be operated by paparazzi photographers, but without any active proof, they must treat such incidents as a potential terrorist threat.

"They see these drones coming in at them, and they guess that they are being operated by photographers, but they can’t just assume that. Meghan received racist death threats at the time of her wedding, so the terror threat is very real for them,” the source and friend to the couple revealed.

“But, aside from that, imagine if you were in their shoes facing that, how that would feel? To have drones buzzing around 20 feet above your head when you are trying to play with your son?" they continued.

“It’s like people forget they are real people. But this is a real family. They are not asking for any special treatment; they are just asking for the safety and security we all expect in our own homes to be respected," they said.

Along with drone activity, paparazzi have also reportedly followed them driving, often times erratically, causing more stress on the young family.

After going out for a drive one day in Los Angeles, the couple were spotted by two paparazzi. The source shared the story.

“They were then tailed, followed, and chased by two cars, which were being driven very erratically. When they parked up, one of the cars following them, which had been in an outer lane, cut across two lanes of traffic to park themselves. The photographer’s car was five metres away from causing a T-bone crash. It was incredibly dangerous, shocking, and scary. They were rattled, but they handled it the best way they could," they said.

The source continued, "But the reality is, people are following and tailing them every day. They are trying not to let the aggressiveness get to them. Protecting their family is their top concern."

The famous family is going to pay out of pocket for high security measures to be taken, and hope that their efforts will pay off.
