The visit went smoothly for the most part, and Kate had a nice reunion with a surprise guest from her past. But the royals also faced an angry protester.

On Thursday, William and Kate travelled south to the county of Cornwall, where they are now Duke and Duchess.

Crowds formed to welcome the royals, and Kate was even surprised by one of her former school teachers...

The royal and her ex-teacher had a touching reunion. His name is Jim Embury, and he taught history at Kate's prep school in the 1990s.

In video of the moment, Kate exclaimed: "I do recognize you!" They shared a hug and chatted about the history class.

But not all were happy to see the royals. One protester in the crowd caused a disruption by shouting: "No more monarchy!"

However, most of the locals in Falmouth, Cornwall, were thrilled to have the royals there.

The couple toured a local museum and later visited a community centre as well.
