- Prince William steals the show with his new look
Princess Kate (42) and Prince William (42) have shown their support for Team Great Britain at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris through a video on social media.
The clip, released on August 11, features the couple in casual attire, sharing heartfelt messages for British athletes. Kate is dressed in a plain white shirt with black stripes, while William sports a blue polo shirt adorned with the Olympic rings.
"From all of us watching at home, congratulations to Team GB!’ says the Princess of Wales in the video. Prince William adds: "Well done on all you've achieved, you've been an inspiration to us all."
There was speculation that Princess Kate and Prince William might make a surprise appearance at the Olympic Games in Paris. The couple took a break this summer to spend time privately with their three children. Whether they would attend the Games was uncertain, as Kate has been managing ongoing cancer treatment, noting that she has "good and bad days." Ultimately, the couple did not attend the event.

The highlight of the video is definitely Prince William, who surprises with a new look—he now sports a beard! The Prince of Wales is usually clean-shaven, a requirement during his time in the Royal Air Force. He last surprised fans with a slightly rougher look on Christmas Day 2008, which he quickly shaved off. But during his summer vacation, the future heir to the throne seems to have embraced a more relaxed style, looking refreshed with a three-day beard and a tan.
