Meghan Markle's Battle With The Tabloids
Meghan Markle has had a rough road being a part of the Royal family. Now in newly obtained court documents by Entertainment Tonight, Meghan's battle with The Mail on Sunday is clearing up.
The documents assert that while Meghan was pregnant with baby Archie, she may have felt her rights were "violated" when The Mail on Sunday callously published a personal handwritten letter between her and her father, Thomas Markle. Because of this and much misinformation being published the Duchess "had become the subject of a large number of false and damaging articles by the UK tabloid media, specifically by the Defendant [Associated Newspapers Limited], which caused tremendous emotional distress and damage to her mental health."
Reportedly, multiple of Meghan's friends were growing increasingly worried "for her welfare, specifically as she was pregnant, unprotected by the institution, and prohibited from defending herself," and "had never seen her in this state before."
Claimed by the documents "It was mandated by the [Kensington Palace Communications Team] that all friends and family of [Markle] should say 'no comment' when approached by any media outlet, despite misinformation being provided to UK tabloids about [her]." Allegedly, this caused great frustration to the people around her who felt she deserved to be defended against the Mail on Sunday's controversial and aggressive report.
The new documents also show proof that Meghan had in fact made accommodations for trouble maker Thomas Markle to attend her wedding, including booking flights, lodging, and even custom-made suits and clothes for Thomas to wear during the "wedding week." These would vindicate her from the article's claim that she did not.
