- Duchess Meghan will not come to Charles' coronation
- Is Duchess Kate the real reason for this?
- An expert weighs in
It has long been speculated, now it's official: Prince Harry (38) will come to the coronation of his father King Charles (74), but without Meghan(41). She will remain in California, allegedly because of the birthday of her son Archie (3). But is that really the only reason?
Is Kate the reason for Meghan's coronation cancellation?
According to royal expert and author Tom Bower, there is something completely different behind Meghan's absence. "The talk of Archie's birthday is just an excuse for the Sussexes to deny the truth: their demands have been denied," Bower told the 'Daily Mail'.
This is how Meghan would have appeared only if "she would have been assured of a prominent position," according to Bower. "Meghan was also told that she had to curtsey to the Queen, Kate and Sophie. Everyone at Buckingham Palace knew that this was too much for them and would be another reason to keep them from coming," said the expert.
Also interesting:
Above all, the fact that Kate might have overshadowed Meghan was a no-go for Harry's wife, as Tom Bower also suspects:"In any case, Meghan would not want to play second fiddle to Kate and Kate made sure that if Meghan came, she would be humiliated."
Only she knows whether all of this actually played a role for Meghan in her decision to suspend the coronation. But the royal expert is certain: "Now she wants to tackle the next stage of her adventure career."
