In their Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan, the royal couple speaks publicly for the first time about their first date.
Interestingly, the first meeting of the actress and the prince went anything but smoothly. That's because Prince Harry was late, Meghan recalls in the documentary.
Prince Harry was LATE for first date with Meghan
While Meghan was waiting for Harry in a London restaurant, he wrote to her: "I'm struck in traffic, I'm so sorry!"
Harry also remembers the situation well. He was panicking in the car and trying to calm his nerves.
Meanwhile, in the restaurant, Meghan had the following thought: "'Oh, is this what he does? Got it.' And I was just not interested in that."

Harry reacts to her statement in the documentary with a grin and asks what it means.
Meghan then explains: "Like you're one of those guys who have so much of an ego that any girl would sit waiting for a half hour for you. I was just not interested in that."
But then Harry had come into the restaurant sweaty and clearly embarrassed, and Meghan had seen that he wasn't like "that."
So Harry got his act together and they made it through their first date with a good feeling.
