Meghan Markle was known for her former lifestyle blog The Tig and also known for writing down her goals for the upcoming year as New Year's approached. Her New Year's resolutions were much like everyone else's: Running a marathon, stop nail biting, stop swearing and re-learning French were among a few of her goals in the past.
However, in 2016 she decided to take a different approach to the whole idea of New Year's resolutions.
Duchess Meghan: "Leave room for magic"
According to People, Meghan resolved to not have a resolution that year. "My New Year's resolution is to leave room for magic. To make my plans, and be okay if they sometimes break. To set my goals, but to be open to change."
It's been a big couple years for Meghan Markle
Less than six months after her non-resolution pledge, she met her future husband Prince Harry on a blind date and well, the rest is history as they say. With a fairy tale royal wedding in 2018 and their first child, Archie, born in 2019, we must say that we should take a page out of Meghan's book concerning her New Year's resolution.
