• King Charles has to reduce his workload
  • The King must not be stressed
  • Harry is also involved

After King Charles (75) was diagnosed with cancer at the beginning of 2024, a red alert was issued regarding his health. The Royal Family is focused on ensuring he can fulfil his appointments without jeopardising his wellbeing, which is why efforts are being made to keep his stress levels low.

King Charles’ health requires rest

Due to his age and health condition, King Charles is under close scrutiny. Those around him are dedicated to protecting him from excessive stress, which includes limiting contact with his estranged son, Harry (40).

This could explain why King Charles has seen Prince Harry only once in recent months, despite Harry being in London. Their brief, unannounced meeting occurred shortly after the King’s diagnosis, and contact has been minimal since then.

Prince Harry's role in the current situation

Royal biographer Robert Hardman notes that there is a valid reason for King Charles' reluctance to engage with Harry. Hardman explained to 'Fox News' that a meeting with Harry would only heighten the King’s "stress levels." The palace believes that now is not the appropriate time for such a meeting.

Also interesting:

The monarch is not responding to calls or letters from Harry. The prevailing view at the palace is that King Charles should not be further troubled. "There is a feeling that now is probably not the right time," says Hardman.

Camilla's influence and protection for King Charles

Queen Camilla (77) is particularly vigilant about shielding her husband from negative influences, including Harry. She does not want Charles to be burdened by issues related to his son and actively blocks any attempts from Harry to engage.

A friend of Camilla's revealed to 'The Daily Beast' that she was the driving force behind the decision to maintain distance. "The last thing she wants is for him to be stressed about a meeting with Harry."

Currently, a meeting between King Charles and Prince Harry seems unlikely. Nonetheless, there remains hope for a normalization of their relationship. Royal biographer Hardman expressed optimism, stating, "I'm sure the King would like to normalize things. The only thing missing is the right time."
