First and foremost, St. Patrick's Day is of course celebrated in the British royal house. Two years ago, Duchess Kate was pregnant and in green at the Irish Parade in London. But because of her pregnancy she could only toast to St. Patrick's Day with water.

After the annual parade of the Irish Guards in the Cavalry Barracks in Hounslow, Duchess Kate and her husband Prince William also enjoyed a hearty pint of Guinness. But St. Patrick's Day is not only celebrated in the British Isles; it is also a special day for other royals in Europe.
