- Meghan Markle married Prince Harry in 2018
- Her dress was very talked about
- THIS is what it also had
Back in 2018, the royal wedding between Meghan Markle and Prince Harry captivated the attention of the whole wide world. Back then, they were still members of the royal family. Their popularity was higher than it had ever been and people simply loved them. They could do no wrong, and that meant that their wedding day was the event of the year! Meghan's dress was one of the talking points of the occasion as with any wedding day.
And now, Meghan's wedding dress designer has revealed where 'something blue' was 'secretly hidden'. This is certainly a welcome revelation. Many believe in having something blue on them the day they get married for good luck, and it looks like Meghan was one of them.
Meghan cleverly hid THIS
As 'People' magazine reports, designer Clare Waight Keller is shedding new light on Meghan Markle’s timeless dress. As the first female artistic director of Givenchy, she was the one that was in charge of bringing Meghan’s vision to life. She once spoke to 'Vanity Fair' magazine and explained where she secretly stitched blue fabric from the dress the future duchess wore on her first date with Harry! How cute is that? This is how she recalled it:
"We basically sewed it into the hem of the wedding dress, so she was the only one that knew that it was there. It was a little blue gingham check. It was the perfect personal memento that was secretly hidden inside the dress," she said.
Also interesting:
According to 'People' Meghan already alluded to it in the past in HBO’s 2018 documentary 'Queen of the World'. "Somewhere in here there’s a piece of blue fabric that’s stitched inside — it was my something blue," she said while inspecting the dress for the first time since her royal wedding day. "It’s fabric from the dress that I wore on our first date."
What a fun and sweet way to commemorate their journey together. The harmony of that day lives only in royal memory now.
King Charles walked Meghan down the aisle when her father, Thomas Markle, was unable to make it. The two were all smiles as they made their way down with the eyes of the world upon them. As Charles greeted his son Prince Harry, he smiled and said, "Thank you, Pa."
Now things are not quite so nice between them...
