Princess Beatrice and Duchess Meghan's Royal babies are altering the entire Royal line of succession to the Throne.
Duchess Meghan and Princes Beatrice's Babies Change Line Of Succession
2021 is one of the biggest years for Royal babies in quite some time. Zara Tindall and Princess Eugenie's births started the new year off on an exciting foot and adjusted the Royal line of succession. Now Princess Beatrice and Meghan Markle's children will be altering the Royal line even more.
Once Duchess Meghan's first girl is born, Princess Beatrice will move to 10th in line, and her baby with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will be moved to 11th.
Then once Princess Beatrice's baby is born, The Earl and Countess of Wessex's family will have their positions bumped as well. Prince Edward will go from 12th place to 14th, his son James will move from 13th to 15th, and his daughter Lady Louise will move from 14th to 16th place in line.
Although Louis is older than her younger brother, as a male heir born before 2013, his succession overtakes hers. In 2013, The Succession to the Crown Act was made to ensure that female heirs will not be overtaken by their younger brothers. Princess Charlotte was the first British Royal in history to benefit from this new rule, as Prince Louis will not overtake her position in the line of succession.
Zara and Mike Tindall's daughters also benefit from this rule as their brand new baby brother Lucas does not supersede their position as the first male son of theirs.
These 2021 Royal babies are really shaking up the list! This generation will be very close in age and we cannot wait to watch them all grow up together.
