King Carl Gustaf and King Felipe: How they react to the war
The Swedish Royal Family announced that King Carl Gustaf has already met Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson for a crisis meeting. The two discussed the current situation in eastern Europe.
King Felipe of Spain is also in close consultation with politicians. The monarch, who recently had COVID-19, met with the National Security Council to discuss how to proceed, according to the Royal Family.
Prince Haakon returns to Oslo
For the Norwegian Royal Family, the invasion came at a particularly unfavourable time. King Harald was abroad celebrating his birthday with family. Crown Prince Haakon is now ending his vacation with wife Mette-Marit and traveling back to Norway, as Dana press reports.
"The Norwegian Crown Prince and Crown Princess return to Norway so that the Crown Prince's Regent can take care of the office of head of state," the Royal Family confirms to the NTB news agency.

"Our hearts go out to the people of Ukraine and everyone affected by the violence. Our thoughts are very much with the people there and with the Ukrainian community in the Netherlands, who will be anxious about the situation of their families and friends."
The British Royal Family has not disclosed any information on how it will respond to the Ukraine conflict. Only Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan made a statement via their Archewell Foundation in which they strongly condemned the invasion.
