Helen Mirren was a big fan of Meghan Markle's time as part of the royal family! Mirren talked to Variety recently about her feelings towards Markle and the now-infamous "Megxit", and revealed she's in favour of both! "Meghan Markle was a fantastic addition to the Royal Family – charming, did everything right, was gracious, was sweet-natured, and seemed to be,” Mirren said in the interview.

Mirren also noted that Markle "didn't seem to be neurotic", calling her "a lovely addition" to the royal family. However, despite the fact she enjoyed Markle's time spent being involved in royal duties, Mirren fully supports Markle and Prince Harry's decision to step down!

"I think it is a loss in a way, but at the same time I think their instincts are absolutely correct," Mirren said of Markle and Harry's move to Canada. "And I think it will all, hopefully, sort itself out, and the tabloid pearl-clutchers will get over their trauma at not having someone to attack all the time".
Mirren concluded her statement on a humorous note, saying that she would likely be the next target of tabloid wrath now that Markle and Harry have moved across the pond! "They'll find another victim... probably me!" she joked.
