Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been the buzz of the Netflix world in recent weeks. But before they debut on the streamer, you can watch the couple next week on ABC.
On Sept. 22, the Duke and Duchess will appear on ABC's special presentation of the Time 100. The annual list of the most influential people in the world will take to TV for a night with all-star musical performers and presenters—a list which includes Harry and Meghan. It airs Tuesday on ABC at 10 p.m. ET.
Prince Harry & Duchess Meghan's new TV gig: Time 100 on ABC
On Sept. 16, Time revealed the stars who will deliver the program, headlined by Harry and Meghan, Trevor Noah, Sandra Oh, John Legend, and Kumail Nanjiani. Musical performers include Jennifer Hudson, Halsey, and the Weeknd.
The 2020 edition of the Time 100 will be the first ever to announce honourees on a TV special. In an exclusive promo video released by E!, the event previewed the type of "pioneers, artists, icons, and titans" who have previously received the coveted honour. Dwayne Johnson, Viola Davis, Roger Federer, and Jennifer Lopez appear in the clip, which also previews the 2020 TV event's celebrity presenters. The video shows Harry and Meghan, but only in a publicity photo.
Harry & Meghan make an impression in the TV and movie world
ABC's Time 100 special will be the latest entertainment world role for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have recently been busy in the field. Earlier this month, they signed a production deal with Netflix, which will see them produce scripted series, docuseries, documentaries, features and children's programming.
Watch for Harry, Meghan, and a night of stars and honours on ABC's Time 100 on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 10 p.m. ET. The list also goes live on Time's website and appears in next week's Friday edition of the magazine. The question remains: Will the Duke or Duchess crack Time's 2020 list?
