In December 2022, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan released the Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan...

The project was directed by filmmaker Liz Garbus, who spoke to Vanity Fair about the challenge. In the process, the conversation eventually shifted to the British Palace.

As Meghan and Harry have reported on several occasions, the Palace is alleged to have manipulated stories in public. Garbus claims to have experienced this firsthand:

"Buckingham Palace said that we didn’t reach out for comment [on the docuseries] when we did," she said.

Also interesting:

"They did that to discredit us… and by discrediting us, they can discredit the content of the show." Garbus compares the experience to Alice in Wonderland.

In the interview, the director also reveals that, to Harry and Meghan, the series was intended as a narrative of their love story.

On the other hand, she, as an activist, chose to direct the project toward issues such as racism...
