Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently celebrated their son's birthday while acknowledging the generosity of those around the world! Archie Mountbatten-Windsor turned 2 on Thursday, and as People shares, Harry and Meghan updated their website with a brand-new photo and a special message.

Harry and Meghan posted a sweet picture of Archie in honour of his birthday, marking the first time their son has been photographed in recent months. In the faded and filtered image, Archie can be seen holding a bunch of balloons with his back turned to the camera. 

"We have been deeply touched over the past two years to feel the warmth and support for our family in honor of Archie's birthday," the Duke and Duchess of Sussex began their message. "You raise funds for those who need it most, and continue to do so organically and selflessly. We remain incredibly grateful."

Harry and Meghan then went on to share their request for how people can celebrate Archie on his special day— making donations to charity! "We cannot think of a more resonant way to honor our son's birthday," the couple explained. "If we all show up, with compassion for those we both know and don't know, we can have a profound impact.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also mentioned that every generous act has a "ripple effect," ending the message with an encouraging statement. "Together, we can uplift, protect, and care for one another," they said, signing off with their signatures. An insider revealed to Closer Weekly that Harry, Meghan, and Archie planned on "having a pool day and BBQ" in Montecito. Several royals have also wished young Archie a happy birthday!
