For the first time after leaving the British royal family, Meghan Markle (38) uses her former surname.
After the drama surrounding Harry and Meghan's exit, things finally seem to be looking up again for the couple. In any case, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have already gotten a new job in the United States, and now more recently, another detail about Duchess Meghan has also been clarified.
Meghan Markle or Duchess Meghan?
The Duchess was named with her former surname in the video at the "2020 Girl Up Leadership Summit" where she appeared. Both on Instagram and on YouTube, where the video was posted, the Duchess is called "Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex".
It is the first time that Meghan has used her surname Markle since marrying Prince Harry. She was also named Duchess of Sussex in her voice-over job for the Disney documentary Elephant.
Meghan Markle with a new style
Girl Up's multi-day event took place last week and addressed a variety of issues that are taking over the United States right now. Meghan answered via video message and the Duchess gave young women courage and inspiration with a new style. She looked stunning with a gorgeous new straight layered haircut!
In the video, Duchess Meghan was able to demonstrate her talent as a speaker. She stood up for young women and thanked them for their efforts. She particularly emphasized the girls' commitment to the Black Lives Matter movement, environmental protection, and mental health. All causes that are close to Markle's heart.
