Duchess Meghan Has Left For Canada And Prince Harry Will Follow Her "As Soon As Possible"

After Harry and Meghan dropped the shocking news on Wednesday evening, now the Duchess has returned to Canada and Harry is still in England tying up loose ends before joining her shortly.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a rather surprising announcement via Instagram that they will be "stepping back" from their senior royal roles to "carve out a progressive new role within this institution." The news was reportedly a surprise for the palace and the Queen as the Sussex' hadn't really communicated their plans with the Crown before the bombshell announcement.

Now, it seems that Duchess Meghan has already flown back to Canada where 8-month-old Archie was staying with her longtime friend, Canadian stylist, Jessica Mulroney. Harry remained in England to continue discussions with the palace about their big move. With the couple planning to split their time between the U.K and North America, many fans are shocked however, many believe that they are taking a progressive stand for what they truly want.

Buckingham Palace also responded to the news in a rather cryptic statement that led many to believe they were just as surprised as the public about the news. However, a report from the Evening Standard outlined that Harry had previously met with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles before the announcement and was advised to hold off... He decided to release the statement anyway.
